2009-08-01 Morehampton Rd.
Morehampton Road in Donnybrook has recently been resurfaced.
However, look at the new road markings. See below for a close-up. A left turn filter lane is introduced on Morehampton Road Northbound at the approach to the Appian Way.
But a cycle-lane has been placed on the left at the approach to the lane. This places cyclists who are carrying straight-on on the left of the left turning vehicles. They then have to filter to the right into the straight on lane or continue on with the risk of conflict with left turning vehicles.
Instead cyclists should be encourage to place themselves in the straight on lane.
