Reasons to Support the Liffey Cycle Route

David O Connor is both a well known lecturer in DIT and a staunch member of Dublin Cycling Campaign. He has written this explanatory article on why we must all support the latest proposal for the Liffey Cycle Route, which will slightly inconvenience motorists, in favour of Public Transport, Cyclists, and Pedestrians.

Check out David’s article originally published in the great weekly Dublin Inquirer and discover the facts and the logic behind this proposal. We encourage you to use these data among friends, and through the media, and with any Dublin City Councillor you know, as opposition will undoubtedly grow over the coming period. Dublin City needs this iconic cycle route to ensure that the future of the City Centre, as both an economic hub and a liveable city centre that encourages safe and sustainable movement for its citizens and visitors alike. Dublin City Councillors will be voting on this proposal on Monday 5th December next. We need you to work to ensure that this proposal is widely supported!
