Bicycle Space at Electric Picnic 2017 – Want to be a part of it?

Hurray!! The Cycling Community has been invited back into the Global Green area of Electric Picnic! Global Green is the dynamic green edge of the Picnic and it showcases new musical acts and hosts discussions on radical ideas for a community-led future that works.

We’ve been an integral part of EP since 2009 and our bicycle space goes (way!) beyond a traditional stall explaining what’s happening on the Irish cycle campaigning front – it’s about creating an entertaining and visually arresting space that gets festival goers thinking about the bicycle’s role in a far saner future.

Dublin Cycling Campaign / Cyclist.ie has two free tickets for EP to give away to those who can help us create an amazing space at EP 2017. Ideally we are looking for a pair of artistically inclined and energetic festival types who can help create and curate a beautiful bike themed space. The ideal people will love bicycles, festivals, chatting to people at festivals about bicycles, music, mingling and craic! You’ll join a crew of like-minded people from various corners of the land and help to develop a fantabulous space within Global Green. Note that our installations have to be in place by noon on the Friday and all of our crew will do a few hours work at the stall.

Drop a line to damien.otuama[at]antaisce.org by Friday 4th August (or sooner!) explaining why you’d like to be part of the bike space and how you would help us create an entertaining element of EP 2017. Please include a mobile number and if you’ve any questions, just ask. We look forward to hearing from you!

Photos of our bicycle spaces from 2016, 2015, 2013 and 2012 can be seen here.
