IHF says 5 years on, little done to tackle obesity

On European Obesity Day (May 22), the Irish Heart Foundation has criticised the lack of significant progress in tackling and treating obesity in Ireland since the launch of the National Taskforce on Obesity (NTFO) this month five years ago. 

Cork Cycling Arts Festival Call for Submissions

Cork Cycling Arts Festival invites all artists to submit work for this year’s exhibition. We are seeking a variety of artwork in various media, photography, sculpture, painting and installation, with the general theme: ‘the bicycle and cycling culture’. The exhibition will run in the Unitarian Church, Cork City for the duration of the festival, from 19 - 25 July 2010. Food Cycle poster pictureDublin Cycling Campaign and Dublin Community Growers are organising a Food cycle, with visits to a number of Dublin's many community gardens.  There will be four rides, starting from different locations to visit several community gardens before converging for a picnic in Iveagh Gardens off Harcourt Street.
