Editor flees to China

Editor flees to China

Sean Goggin, a central member of the Dublin Cycling Campaign and former editor of the campaign's newsletter has accepted an offer he couldn't refuse. He has gone to work in Beijing for some time.

We understand that one of his tasks is to teach English to the students there. Perhaps we should be learning Chinese instead!

Uses for Tubes

Uses for Tubes

Recent research has revealed that bike shops (as well as individual cyclists) throw out lots and lots of old bicycle tubes. What a waste. There must be numerous uses for these fantastic objects. Some suggested uses for them include sleeves for chains used for locking bikes - to prevent the chain rusting and to prevent scratching of the frame as the lock is wrapped round it; bungies/stretchies (when tied on to a hook) and used on front and rear carriers; as knee-stretching devices.
